J.Tyrex’s “Could be” is a dreamy R&B Pop record that exceeds just one genre. His smooth vocals soar across the instrumental with ease. J’s performance in this song is magnificent reaching every corner of the melodic scale. J’s lyrics of love fit very well with the vibe of this track. The production of “Could Be” embodies everything J.Tyrex is as an artist. You hear all of his influences come together on this one. From R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, to his Zimbabwean flair. In could be you hear it all. I personally really enjoy this track. It’s an easy listen that has some breathtaking vocals and harmonies. The futuristic mix makes this track an absolute gem. I felt that this track had the perfect combination of tempo and flow to it. All of the elements needed to make a song feel melodic without overdoing it were present.

J.Tyrex’s real name is Wayne Chapisa. He is an independent Afropop, R&B, and hip-hop artist based in South Africa. Born in Zimbabwe, he began writing music in 2015. He released his debut EP in 2022. Not only is J.Tyrex the singer and songwriter of his music. He is also a music producer that produces all of his own music. His sound is a unique blend of Afropop, R&B, and hip-hop influences, with a distinct Zimbabwean flair. His music is characterized by his signature melodic beats, smooth vocals, and thought-provoking lyrics. J.Tyrex’s journey to becoming a musician began in 2015 when he first started writing music. However, it wasn’t until 2020 that he began recording and releasing his music to the world. Since then, he has been building a growing fanbase and perfecting his sound. J.Tyrex’s ultimate goal is to share his music with the world and inspire others through his lyrics and sound. He wants to use his platform to connect with people from all walks of life and help them find their own voice through music. He believes that music has the power to bring people together and make a positive impact on the world.
